We explore and invest in cutting-edge technologies, such as diesel-free, all-electric battery energy storage system as well as solar energy, to power our construction sites and operations. The Kimly Innovation Hub (KIH), our Design for Manufacturing and Assembly facility and dormitory, is powered by solar energy which drastically reduces reliance on fossil fuels for its operations, minimizing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.
One of our key sustainability strategies is embracing eco-friendly construction materials – CO2 mineralized concrete, low carbon concrete and steel. CO2 mineralized concrete is a revolutionary material that captures and permanently stores and embeds CO2 during its production, lowering embodied carbon footprint. Green concrete utilizes recycled materials like fly ash, slag, and recycled aggregate, reducing our reliance on natural resources and minimizes the environmental impact associated with their extraction.
We prioritize the use of low-carbon steels. This not only reduces the energy needed for steel production but also minimizes the environmental impact of steel mining. By incorporating low-carbon steels, we ensure the structural integrity of our buildings while minimizing our environmental footprint.
